Pet therapy

Heiferly mentioned cuddling with her pooch so I thought I would share my news.  I just got two kittens and am finding it makes me feel less isolated and is just plain good for my mood.  They even sleep on my lap together, wrapped around each other.  Last night they were leaping around so crazily playing together that I burst out laughing out loud at their antics.

I was anxious that it would be too much work to have the cats but am doing okay.  Taking out more trash b/c of litter box is the hardest thing.

Hi Laura,
Congratulations on your two new babies!  I think that's the way to do it...get two kittens together.  I have three cats and none of them really get along too well for long!  It's been years since I had a kitten until I saw little 3 legged Tigger's pic on the rescue site!  I had to have him and even with one little leg missing, he's a handful!  I forgot how crazy kittens are!  But they are good for laughs that's for sure!  They are pretty easy and two are not really more work than one so enjoy both those bundles of furry love!  I would also be lost with out my sweet babies...we don't have kids and they are my kids and a tremendous source love and happiness.  My husband always comments on how happy they make me and it's the truth!

Welcome to cat ownership. I am completely able-bodied and just hate changing the cat box! My mental image of your kitties sleeping on your lap looks so peaceful. I hope they bring you much joy (and no dead mousies!).  If they can make you laugh, they will do you a lot of good.
My son loves playing and snuggling with his kitty, and his rabbit too. They definitely help lift his mood. Our pets have always added greatly to our lives.
