QSART Results

I just got the results, in the mail, about my QSART last week.  Unfortunately I only got page 1 of 3 so I don't know if there is anything of importance in the 2 missing pages.  Because of the 4th I won't be able to find out until, at least, Tuesday.

The Interpretation says: "This is an abnormal study.  Sweat volumes are below 5th percentilefor age and gender at all sites except the distal leg.  This may be consistent with non-length dependant small-fiber neuropathy affecting sudomotor function."

I can only speak english.  Can anyone translate this?

Thanks,

Richard

I did not have to stop any of the meds I am taking.  But I imagine there could be some meds. that you cannot take prior to the QSART.  It depends on what you are taking.  I was not allowed to have any caffeine prior to having the test but only the same day.  It is a test to look for damage to the small nerve fibers.  They use a mild electric current, along with a chemical, to do the test.  I found I could feel a very slight tingling and only because I was told there would be some and I was looking for it.  It was actually quite mild and almost unnoticeable.

Copy and past the above into your browser and you can get a little more info.

Good Luck
