Ready for February?

How is this week shaping up for everyone?  Anyone else feeling like January just flew by?  Are you ready for February?  Gearing up for Valentine's Day yet, or too much going on right now to even think about that?

It's my naptime so I'll be back to fill in about my week a little later on!  ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz  :-)

Thanks that is a good idea. Was told by my friend who had heart surgery they wouldn't allow her friend who had cancer and needed a wheelchair in the room as said space was limited. She had to go call another person to come sit with her. That sounds ludicrous!  I will check it out tomorrow. Due to the ms I no longer have strength in arms and hands to propel a wheelchair so would need help I think.
Will let you know as soon as I can. Have no idea until they get in there what they will do. They do know right coronary artery is 100% blocked but are hoping its formed a collateral.

Can you use a wheelchair at the hospital?  All of the hospitals in my area have wheelchairs available for use as needed (some do occasionally get shortages as the supplies of wheelchairs are better at some hospitals than others), so you may want to call the "customer service" or "social work" office at the hospital and ask about whether they would have a wheel chair that you can borrow for the duration of the time you're there with your husband.

Another option may be borrowing or renting a wheelchair elsewhere.  Some churches/temples are able to loan out wheelchairs so if you have any religious ties, that's a possible lead.  If not, you may seek out places in the community where wheelchair rentals are offered.  The cost may well be worth it if it gives you peace of mind and assurance of safety in a time when you want your focus to be on your loved one and not worrying about trying to overtax yourself.

Also, note that some people with dysautonomia find the exertion of propelling a manual wheelchair with the arms to be too much.  Some hospitals have "valets" or volunteers who can push you around (at no cost).  If that's not the case and you need to get around on your own, I recommend moving the foot rests out of the way and trying shuffling around via your leg/foot power rather than using your arms/hands; you may find it less taxing for your cardiovascular system.

Please take care of yourself.  Hopefully you can do that and take care of him.  It's a juggling act, but it's better than making yourself sick.

Update us as you're able.  You'll be in my heart and on my mind.  <3 <3 <3

Thanks. The stress has kicked things up for me healthwise. I know I will need to do quite a bit if standing and am so afraid if syncope. That would be stress for both of us. If course it has to be mornings and that's my worst time healthwise. I am bringing lots of water and salty chips. They tell us it can go 3 ways. One they can't fix anything and he goes home that day 2. They put in stents and he's there overnight 3. Open heart surgery and a stay of 7 to ten days. Its just us so will have nobody to relieve me to go home for a bit to shower etc so.... Main thing is he's okay. That's all I care about at this point.

Oh Dear Beema, I will certainly keep you and your husband in my thoughts throughout the week that all goes well and you are both safe and sound.  I am sure this must be quite difficult for both of you, and I hope that you find the strength that you need to get through this all.

Gentle hugs,
Heiferly.

Busy stressful week. We found out a couple weeks ago my dh has had several silent heart attacks. He goes into heart hospital Thursday for surgery to see what they can do. Having a hard time with this as he's been my caretaker and now I am needing to be his. Praying for strength.
