TST SWEAT TEST

TST SWEAT TEST

Has anyone had the thermoregulartory sweat test?  My son had one last week and we haven't heard back from the doctor yet.  They put an orange powder on him and put him in the 'hot box'.  Where ever he sweated he turned purple, and where he didn't remained orange.

His legs and right arm and upper chest turned purple.  His upper left arm and main part of the lower torso remained orange.  That is where he didn't sweat.  What is the signifigance of this?  I know not sweating can cause nausea and he is nauseated daily, but would it only happen when he is exerting and should be sweating?  Just curious while waiting to hear from doctor.

I have had 2 thermoregulartory sweat tests. My understanding is that if you don't sweat, it is a sign of autonomic dysfunction. Sorry I couldn't give you more detailed info. I'll be praying for your son.
