Temperature

How do all of y'all deal with the temperature problem?  I usually have a hard time staying cool, but here lately, I have been staying cold.  Tonight I just took a shower with straight hot water bc when I added cold it felt to cold.  I think I may have blistered my head a little bit.
I have also been having a problem with bruises showing up on my legs after I have rubbed across them.  I don't know what is going on.  Thanks everyone

I definitely think this warrants a call to your doctor.  Regardless of how you feel, you should not shower in water hot enough to cause skin damage.  I would recommend avoiding electric blankets, heating pads, and close proximity to heat sources such as space heaters right now, as your body is clearly not sending the proper signals to you to tell you when heat is too much and is causing burns.  This is a serious problem and needs to be evaluated by a doctor.  If you have a neurologist, start there; if not, your dysauto doc or general practitioner should be able to refer you to a specialist.

As for the bruising, that's likely vascular?  I'd start with my general practitioner or cardiologist with that one, not sure if they'd refer to vascular medicine department or they'll know themselves what's going on?  But any change in your condition like those you are mentioning warrants discussion with your docs, and particularly the first thing you talked about needs immediate attention.  Call your doctor and keep us in the loop if you can!

That doesn't sound good!  I agree with Heiferly and contact your Dr.

I do have episodes where I'm so cold that I do go in the bath with very hot water (not enough to burn though) then my husband has towels and blankets in the dryer getting warm so that as soon as I'm out of the tub I dry with the warm towels and then I wrap in the warm blankets, I usually go to sleep inmediately after that, it doesn't happen often as I do tend to be always feeling warmer than cold but when it does happen it is hard to keep the heat in my body so I can relate to you.

I am going for a 24hr blood pressure monitoring on Monday we'll see what else they will suggest.

Take care!

I agree with Heiferly's comments. You definitely need to be careful, and report this to your Doctor.

The last few months I've been going on cycles of being overly hot. So I layer with clothing can take off easily, as one of these hot cycles hits me. The last few weeks, things changed and I'm freezing all the time... so now, I'm all bundled up. I don't know if its the beta blocker or the fact that I've lost 15 lbs in the past two months.

Just be careful.

I also have trouble maintaining body temperature.  I've resorted to checking my temperature every couple of hours, and that seems to be the best solution for me.  When I notice my temperature is even slightly too high/low I will try to do something about it.

Over the summer I purchased a cooling vest that really helped me to stay cool during the hot summer.  I believe there are also heating garments for patients with temperature regulation issues.  That may be something to look into.

Please let us know what your doctor said.  I hope you're feeling better!
