anyone

i have Dysautonomia and P.O.T.S. my doctor put me on a beta blocker but my heart rate increased so he took me off and put me back on something else and sent me to a cardiologist today and they are making me wear a heart monitor for 24 hours and most likely a 30 day one. my blood pressure read 82/64, heart rate 55 and oxygen 88. they are going to do more test tomorrow. just wondering if anyone else out there has had this problem or has any ideas. i pass out and have shortness of breath but this started when i was 8 months old i am now 18 and have a daughter 1 year old who is now passing out.

Are either of your parents on Social Security due to disability or retirement?  You may be eligible for Social Security Disability benefits under their Social Security if so (or also if one of your parents is deceased and had paid into Social Security while working--this is called disabled survivor of a deceased parent benefits).

http://www.ssa.gov/dibplan/dacpage.shtml

If you are not yet connected with resources such as SSI, SSDI, EBT/WIC, HEAP, etc., you need to get in touch with your local job and family services office and your social security office to apply for whatever disability and financial need-based benefit programs for which you/your children qualify.

Please be careful--I see that you say "they won't LET you get a license to drive."  Be aware that this is with very good reason; losing consciousness or even just graying out (pre-syncope) behind the wheel can cost you your life and risk the lives of everyone in the car with you as well as those who share the road with you.  It's just not worth the risk!  Once you apply for disability programs, you can talk about getting help with various transportation assistance programs for people with disabilities.  There are often special programs to provide bus and/or taxi transportation through either the city's public transportation program or through Medicaid funding itself.  You will likely need some brief documentation from your doctor to get approved for such programs, but otherwise it's rather straightforward.

The oxygen saturation you report is very concerning.  Please report back to us what testing has been done and the results when you get them.  You're in our thoughts!
