Hiya, i am glad nothing to serious was found on your heart cath. I know it is probably annoying that you have no answers yet but it is good that some serious conditions are being ruled out for you.
It is also good that you are being reffered to ENT as all avenues need to be explored. Have you had hormone panel testing done including adrenal hormones? These should be done also.
I am not familiar with the dye used for this procedure but someone else on here may be, and be able to give you their opinion why they think you may have had this reaction. If it is a form of dysautonomia you have then reactions to medications are common place so this may then explain your bp increase.
keep us updated and I wish you well x
yes had my heart cath done on tuesday. he said i had a little plaque, but it was not bad.now he is sending me to a ear nose and throat doctor.i had a reaction to the dye from the heart cath, i broke out a little bit, but my blood pressure went really high, and they had to give me medicine to lower it.im assuming the reason for the ear nose and throat doctor is for the dizziness.
Hiya, have you had your adrenal glands checked? and a full hormone panel done? These should also be checked with the symptoms you mention.
You may have had your heart cath done by now, if you have how did it go? Did you recieve any answers?
Hope you are okay x
Hi Brenda,
Have you been to a specialist or only to the hospital?
If you have not already, I would find a Electrphysiologist who can help to decipher
what is going on with you and the hx you have shared w/ us.
I too have had all those sx and have been dx w/ NeuroCardioGenic Syncope,
as well as with Multiple Sclerosis. Autonomic dysfunctions are not uncommon in people
with MS. My first TTT I was dx with Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia (IST) but both
my cardiologist and I knew that was not a correct dx and did not fit what my B/P
and heart rate were doing.....Second TTT dx w/ NCS....Makes much more since for my specific problems.
Just curious, have you been to a Neurologist for your Neurological sx?
I wish you the best and please keep us updated on your progress.
Take Care,
~Tonya
All of us have had some if not all of your symptoms. I have recently been diagnosed with Lupus. I went many years dealing with the things you listed and no one knew what was going on. For you, I don't know what it is. I had a neg. TTT also. For now they have ruled out dysautonomia, but I have been told that it could develop. Just keep going until you get answers. On my memory, I try to slow down and even make lots of notes (even on things I do daily) for just in case. I even have people laugh when I try to say something and it comes out wrong, but I haven't figured out how to deal with that yet.
Just don't give up. And don't forget, all of us in this forum have these problems, so it may take a little while for us to answer you back. There is also a lot of good info in the health pages and in other posts if you feel like sitting down sometime and researching it.
Good luck and you are in my prayers.
