103F temperature with Sinusitus

Hi,

I have had sinus problems for a long time now and it creeps up when I have cold stuff. Last Sunday duing the SuperBowl I had a lot of chilled beers and since then I have had slight cough. This morning I got up with 103F temperature maybe because I was all bundled up in my bed. It did come down to 102.4F after I threw away the blankets and declined further to normal after I took Ibruprofen (400mg).

Visited the doctor who presrcibed Clarithromycin (500mg) and Pseudovent (400mg) which I took this morning. Surprisingly he didn't give me any medicine for fever and told me to stop have the Sinus Relief pills I was having and the Ibruprofen too. This evening, again when I was in bed my temperature reached 103F and again the same process above (throwing away blankets, taking Ibruprofen).

My question is it normal to have such high temperature? And how long should I monitor my progress before I head to Urgent Care again. The doctor told me it's gonna take atleast a week for me to get back well.

In my experience with sinusits in the last 2 1/2 months I had 2 fevers to date.  I still have major issues however the fever thing only happened at the onset.  I've been on 3 antibiotics.  I'm still leiry of my diagnosis.
