I have a six year old daughter that has had a sore throat for over three weeks now. She has taken amoxycillan and omnicef, for what they thought was a sinus infection, but neither has helped. She also started Proventil, since she has mild asthma. She has missed so much school over this, and I'm having to send her to school crying, because her throat hurts so bad. I don't know what else to do! I've tried cough drops, ibuprofen, humidifier, Mucinex, Benadryl, Triaminic, warm liquids, and anything else that anyone has suggested. What else could be causing this sore throat? When I look in her throat, it is red, and her tonsils are quite swollen. Any help?!
