Average cost of laryngoscopy?

I am having one done soon.  It will be done in a doctor's office without general anesthesia.  Local anesthetic may be used.  For those who have had one of these done, what is the average cost?  My insurance does cover it, but I have a fairly high deductible, so for all practical purposes whatever it costs is what I'm paying and I'd like to know about what I'm in for.

I visited the doctor for ENT due to stuffy nose and cough. waited for 15 min at doctor's office and later i got examined. doctor pulled out a flexible rubber kinda instrument passed through my nostril and checked.Doctor told me nothing but the some acidic stuff in my throat. came back home.
now i am here after 3 months got a bill for more than 300 and out of which my insurance covered 200 something and i am due for 125.00 and the heading says the bill is for laryngoscopy -fiberoptic . i am not sure whether the fee is right or wrong?

If you are have a transnasal laryngoscopy, the physician cost is approximately $100 if done in a non-facility or $70 if done in a facility.  However, many hospital-owned facilities may charge you a separate "facility fee," which varies from institution to institution.
