BLOCKED EARS

I experience a build up of pressure in my ears and am constantly swallowing in an attempt to release the pressure.  It becomes extremely annoying and I experience the sensation more when I am tired, stressed or driving. I also begin to get a sore throat as a result of this continuous swallowing.   I have had sleeping problems previously and was taking "stilnox" for about a year. I am no longer taking this medication.  I  have been and am still taking prothiadan 75mg and Coversyl 10mg and was also taking another anti depressant "arapax".  About 6 years ago I did experience vertigo where I was extremely dizzy and had a feeling of nausea for a couple of weeks. This eventually went away. Are you able to diagnose my problem and give me advice as to how I can cure this?

I'm not familiar with those medicines, they must be from a country outside the USA.

Vertigo and nausea and ear pressure can come from blocked eustachian tubes leading to otitis media with effusion (serous otitis media), which can be improved with nasal steroids, sinus saline rinsing.
