Bad smell frm mouth nose throat

I am having bad breath from my mouth since childhood. earlier the problem was
not that much serious and with the help of brushing two times daily, i was controlling it. two weeks before, there was bleeding in my gums and extremely
foul smell which i never sensed earlier started from my nose and throat. I went to dentist she told me that i was having plaques which she removed. The mouth smell problem was greatly removed but the smell from nose and bad taste in my throat was very much disturbing me in the evening. I went to ENT specialist. He
did sinoscopy and found that there is no fault in sinus. There is slight bacterial infection in throat, tonsils and sinus. He advised me to try antiseptic betadine (providone iodine IP 2%) which is not helping me at all. He told me that it will take approximately one month to get rid of bad smell. I can't wait as i am not sure with his advise. Please help. Whether this bad smell is curable? If it doesn't go away, it will be very difficult for me to mix with the people.
