Do this to help with blocked ear.
Breathe in,
Close  both your nostrils with thumb and forefinger,
Blow out hard, keeping the mouth and nose closed (the cheeks will blow outwards).
You will notice the ear drum moving.Repeat this 3 times.
Do this only once per day.

Also do anulom vilom pranayam for 20 minutes, twice a day.

Have you been checked for allergens like food? I find that one night drink milk it makes me feel stuffed up and my ear gets clogged. coffee too.

If you haven't already tried I'd recommend going and getting an allergy panel that includes food. I'd recommend seeing highly qualified nutritionist or functional medicine doctor.

Functional medicine doctors are MDs with extra training. Most MDs aren't trained in understanding individuals' DNA and how things like food affects our bodies.

This is kinda my problem for years I have had it check out so many times and they say we'll there nothing we can really do about it.some days I will be fine and can hear clearly. Other days I can't hear make me light headed feeling have to set down. My ears hurt when I get in cold wind like earache pain. People ask me all the time if I am sick and I tell them no just can't hear my self talk. This messed with my sports in high school and weight lifting class. Seems like it worst then it has been.

Plug nose and blow gently until ur ears pop, may take more than once.. I have lived with this for 30 years and it finally took a lady at a nursing home to tell me!!!!! Thousands of dollars of nothing is wrong with ur ears.. And it was as simple as plugging my nose and blowing!!

I have had this Vertigo and loud ringing in my ears since 2007 and now since Jan 2015 the beast is gone but still lurking outside.
I learned that fullness in one ear from an imbalance of pressure in the ears is seen by the brain as a spinning motion.
My sinus trouble that leads to vertigo starts every night at about 3am.  I go to the bathroom and after I get back in bed my nose stops up and no more sleep for me and the nose and head becomes chronic sickness.
But now if my nose stops up at 3am I put one shot of Afrin in each nostril and within 5 minutes I feel heavenly because I can BREATH, and that is it that is was and is my cure.
The Doc's still insisted I give up Afrin because it is bad for my heart so one night while stuffed up at 3am I gave one shot of Flonase into each nostril and went back to bed with a clear nose but in one hour I rose up to look at the clock and when I laid down the spins that had been gone for two years had come back, so I got up and took a shot of afrin in each nostril and went back to bed and I haven't had vertigo since.  I will be 76 in July.
Also I exercise everyday to improve my posture and it also has improved along with my general physical and mental health.

Here is the solution
I was suffering from same problem of over 4 years
It's called Glue Ears ( You can Google it out)
Doctors in India are excellent, They immediately diagnosed me with Glue Ears but still I didn't took them seriously and after 4 years lot of pain was der in the ear
Again ENT diagnosed Glue ear
This I took several medicines including steroids prescribed by him but all in vain
Lastly he inserted a grommet (ventilation tube) in my right ear - it was a simple 15 minute procedure in which through suction he sucked out all the mucus present in the ear and then inserted a microscopic tube into the ear drum
I'm feeling better
Hearing is perfect
No heaviness in the ears
No ringing bells now
Please consult a Good ENT or come to India for perfect treatment

I have had the same thing for 8 weeks....I've tried daBroc's ear wax removal kit from Target for $7.99 and then use warm water with white vinegar....that was from my doctor....to me the stuffyness is in the etasian tube aft the drum, so sudafed works some.....the ear canal in my left ear is not straight, it is crooked....warm water is best, not too hot.  It feels like a wad of cotton is stuck in my ear....hearing loss is 30%, I estimate.  My right ear is fine, thank goodness.
The left ear rings some too....my doctor says it's a fungal infection....you have to let the virus run it's course.....sudafed and warm water irrigation is the key to solveing it.
Best regards, Baxter

Here is one good news post.
My Ear problem timeline:
Cure was Time and Snorting and flushed with bottled water.
The timeline: For about a year (2015) something caused me to constantly want to snort as if some Phlegm needed clearing but no Phlegm was there. (maybe eustachian tube blockage).
December 2015 woke up one day with left ear plugged then later visible swelling in left ear. (took ear pics showing swelling Jan 30).
Sometime in February swelling down, tried Ear Wax Removal drops from time to time and flushed with filtered water once or twice.
March 6th while still lying in bed the snorting seemed different, (i'm thinking the eustachian tube clearing) and there were small popping sounds as if a little bit of ear clearing. When I got out of bed I used the small squeeze bulb that came with the Ear Wax Removal kit to flush left ear. A few small specks of dark colored wax came out, not much.
Later when watching TV I realized the hearing was back.
That was a couple of hours ago, we'll see if it's permanent, so far so good.
Maybe could have cleared sooner if I had known but some things take time.

I have had to clean the yellow pollen from my pool twice in two weeks and after taking a walk I started getting dizzy even tho my nose was clear, my ears stopped clicking and I was soon losing my balance and getting sick.  So being careful to follow the doctors instructions I pumped one spray into my bad nostril and within 30 minutes I was feeling great.
Since this started years ago I must keep my right ear clicking to stay healthy.  No clicking then it is only a matter of time before I start to lose my balance.

I have not had a vertigo attack since I learned how to aim the nasal spray plus I don't wake up at 3am with my nose stopped up.

From March 2008 I have suffered from 3 to 4 bouts of vertigo a week, each time starts with me getting wobbly and sick and ends with me lying flat in bed with a blanket over me, if I so much as lift an arm I start spinning.

I have made a very bad mistake: I paid hundreds of dollars and waited in line for hours and when the doc asked me if I knew how to use the nasal spray, I would be offended and said, "of course I do", but of course I didn't.
Just recently I learned how to aim the nasal spray and it makes all the difference in the world.

Here is how and why to aim the nasal spray: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdX5SXcqNyI

because of cost I only tried acupuncture twice and that was many years ago.  The first time it relaxed my body and mind and I was like floating on clouds but the next time I went there was construction going on outside with heavy equipment roaring and men yelling so that time I reaped no benefits.

The first time I had Vertigo the Doc gave me antivert, nasal spray, and muscle relaxant, after that they wouldn't give me muscle relaxants because they were afraid of the law.
That time I stayed in bed for three days and was well for a year until the next February.
I am sitting here with a blocked right ear.

Hi JimBean315,

I am very interested about your personal experience with acupuncture since, I suffer from clogged ears every year, and this year 2014 is taking specially long to get them unclogged.  I do not want to have another ear wash just to have them clogged again in a couple of months. Is it true that acupuncture works? and if it does has it been permanent? or you have to go back to have a treatment after some time? I'd  really appreciate your response.  Thanks in advance

Hi Hava and all,I am going to try your advice and will get back to you with results. For years and years now, Name it, I have it (In the ear symptom department), blocked, painfull ear, swishing sound in ear, popping sounds, tinnitus - everything. Even ended up in the neurologists office with MRI. Mastoiditis diagnosed.(But I agree, most Doctors eventually think you are crazy, especially if you insist you have trouble speaking, as if you cannot hear yourself speak and pronounce properly! ) Enough to drive anyone mad, one's self confidence going for a dive. Speech and hearing definitely connected, even if you are not diagnosed as  deaf. I have noticed that my speech becomes affected if my ears are clogged up more than usual(after a cold). For example, if I pronounce an S it  sounds  differently to me.A person becomes panicky coz you think of other things such as a stroke or MNS. Thanx for advice.

What does this process do exactly?

First off, try to stay calm. Not easy for me to say, as I have dealt with menieres over the past year. I have tried to deal with many ents and drs to no avail. The best thing you can do is see a tcm dr and a naturopath who does blood analysis. A problem with the ear is the result if something else wrong in your body.  A tcm dr will be able to help you with acupuncture and Chinese herbs- probably has something to do with your liver, spleen, or kidneys. When going to a naturopath, look to see if you have a yeast problem resulting in Candida. A huge problem not understood at all by drs. Antibiotics, and other things we take and do kills all the good bacteria in our bodies allowing the bad bacteria to take over. My naturopath had had success with clearing out the Eustachian tubes by doing ims acupuncture. Good luck!

what is helping me is doing the sinus rinse every day, no skipping at all. i do the neil med with the bottle. and i also am using a aerosol nasal spray zetonna. i also took a round of prednasone, helped. but i really think the nasal rinses are the key. bc i think my tubes are working fine, just plugged up. when i use the nasal rinse i blow out of my nose, a lot of gross junk and old dried blood. so maybe i had a infection in the tubes ? i dont know but rinse them every day for about a week and see what happens. thats what i am going to keep doing for sure since it is helping a ton for me. and when u do the rinses get the solution in the sinus area and move your head around like the women does here, its what i am doing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNqpmI-Lfew&list=UUys0ohnwC0P2pT6RXgBLhMw&index=14

its what i am doing, or at least i move my head around a bit with the fluid still in. it gets in the tubes a bit and does help to clean them out.

Hi, Could you post some pictures of this or a video. It's hard to figure out how to do this just from the words. I find that true with yoga in general. Thanks if you do !!

Hi liz, i know its been a few years since you were on here I was wondering if you have had any progress? I too have had this going on constantly in my right ear and intermittently in my left since 99. I have watched my kids go from tykes to teens without hearing them. I am on the brink of insanity and the doc's have nothing to offer and seem as if they could care less. HELP!!!!
