Hi, I see that questions related to this issue have been asked many times and I have been reading through as many as possible but none seem to quite relate to what I have, I think.
I am very keen to sort this out as I am getting back into my love of singing and it's real hindrance! I don't drink (only occasionally), I don't smoke, I am convinced I do not have a reflux problem, I am not suffering any sinus pain and I am not overweight.
Can any one suggest what it is or any home remedies to clear my thoat so that i can sing, please?
This is indeed a common complaint. I am not in the least surprised that the nasal steroid spray and antibiotic did not help. Without a strong history of rhinitis complaints to go along with this, it's hard to pin this down on your nose. I have no idea what infection they had in mind when treating you with antibiotics.
Even though you say you are "convinced" you do not have a reflux problem, I would ask you to reconsider. This is indeed a very common cause. See what you can find out about the diagnosis of "laryngopharyngeal reflux", I condition I would suspect with you. It sounds like this may not have been entertained before. In addition to the standard treatment for this (proton pump inhibitors), people such as yourself can often see substantial benefit from a few sessions with a speech-language pathologist.

Good Luck!
