I've had a pulsing sound intermittently in my right ear for a few months.
I just had a carotid doppler and these were the results.
Right CCA 125 cm/s
Right ICA 148 cm/s*
Left CCA 138 cm/s (mildly elevated)
Left ICA 103 cm/s
*Elevated right ICA Velocity but no plaque. Left ICA normal.
I tend to have low blood pressure 80-95/60. It was 80/60 at the last two measured Dr. office visits. I am relatively thin; I do follow a low fat diet due to stomach problems, but that is not new like this pulsing noise is.
Any idea why my velocity in the right ICA velocity would increase in elevation?
I'm being sent for an MRA (magnetic resonance angiogram) soon.
(A lesion was also noted on my left thyroid which may? explain the mildly elevated Left CCA number...maybe not.)
