Chricopharengeal Constriction and dysfunction

Hi there,

I need help and info please!

I have Chricopharengeal muscle dysfunction and 2 weeks ago I was treated with a Botillium injection (20 units) and the Otolarangologist did Dialation.

I had a tele-consult with the Doctor yesterday:  abnormal finding during Esophagoscopy:  constricted Chrico muscle, spasms and dysfunction.

Otolaryngologist said that the Botillium would not work as he can not go near the UES area as relaxation can cause food/fluids to go down the windpipe and aspirate food, etc.

I still have all my symptoms from prior to the Botillium injection and now I am left with more questions and do not know how to solve the issue.

Any help, info would be appreciated at this point.

Hi there,

I had my Botillium injection during Aug. 2012 and now the effects has warned out and all the horrible symptoms have returned!

I feel horrible :(  permanent lump in throat again and muscles aching...

I'll have a tele-consult with Otolaryngologist next week to discuss further treatment plan and way forward...

I am very pleased to tell you all that the Botillium injection into my Chricopharengeal muscle has worked!  took about 3 weeks in stead of the normal 2-7 days!  but I feel much better and I can feel a huge improvement in the size of my Epiglottis and all other ENT symptoms!

Will keep you updated and hope someone can learn from my experience.
