Chronic Sore Throat

Not sure which topic this would really be, but I hope this one is right.  I've had a sore throat for about 2 1/2 months now, and have been on antibiotics 2 different times with no real help from them.  My throat has been really red, and sometimes the redness has grown to around the uvula, sometimes looking like circular blotches on roof of mouth near uvula.  Also in the back of my throat behind the tonsils (not on the tonsils though) are gray oval shaped, blotches that make a U-shape and are about 10 of them only on the sides of my throat they don't seem to go in the middle.  Not sure what is going on I do not have a fever, and eating doesn't bother me.  The pain is more of a nagging pain, and not a throbbing pain, although sometimes it does burn.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.
