Chronic sinus pressure and pain

Looking for some help or info from anyone who's possibly had a procedure where they go in and remove bone that causes narrowing of the sinus passages.  My husband has had chronic sinus pressure and pain for many years.  He's visited numerous ENTs and general practitioners, been prescribed numerous meds from nasacort, allegra, flonase, and many more.  He is currently on Omnaris spray which doesnt seem to help more than anything.  Some weeks he can go without a headache.  Other weeks he has many.  In the last month he's had three headaches that have lasted 2-3 days.  He has extreme pressure behind his eyes, his forehead, and head pain.  Many times he can tell when the weather will be changing, such as an oncoming storm because the pressure increases.

He had a CT scan done on his sinuses.   2 physicians reviewed.  The first one said he had "facial pain"  which makes NO sense to me.  If anyone can elaborate on THAT diagnosis, please do :-)
The second ENT has said that there is some minor narrowing of the passages and that on one side there is a small bone protruding out a little that seems to be causing that side to narrow even more.  He has scheduled my husband to have surgary to "remove"? that portion of bone to see if it helps.  

Anyone else had this type of situation?  Looking for any info you can offer.  As i said, this has been ongoing for years and 70 % of the time he is miserable.  He's at his witts end as to what to do

Hello and hope you are doing well.

It could be a nasal 'spur', a small bony outgrowth, which can cause blockage to the flow from the sinuses and consequent sinusitis. Removal of this bone can facilitate better drainage from the sinuses. Discuss these options with your consulting doctor.
