Clicking in ears

Last month, I flew to England. Upon landing, I developed a terrible headache and stuffy nose with sniffles. Later, I blew my nose several times to clear my head and the mucus contained a lot of blood. The entire 5 days in England, I suffered with a head cold, fever, etc. I brought it home with me, and considered myself fully recovered a week later. However, now that the other symptoms have subsided, I am experiencing a persistent clicking every time I swallow, accompanied by headaches, balance issues, vertigo, and itching deep inside my ear. I have tried ear drops and nasal sprays to no avail. Everything feels better when I am lying down, but clearly, that's not a long term solution.  Help!!

Sounds like a possible Eustachian tube problem.  

Have you seen any physicians yet?  i.e. ENT Specialist?
