Clogged Ears

I experience clogged ear all the time, I went to an ENT and was told there is nothing wrong. That all I have to do is pop my ears. imagine how your ears feel when you are flying, now imagine having that all the time; all time time. I hear myself breath, it is very frustrating. I have tried over the counter and prescriptions medication for allergies in the hopes that it would improve. The ENT is now going to refer me to an ear specialist, only becuase I was not alright with hearing just pop your ears and learn to live with it. What can this be?

Hi there, my son is 10 and is experiencing clogged ears.  I pull quite a bit of ear wax out after his shower and I was told I might be packing it deeper inside.  I am going to take him to the doctor this week but have you tried an earwax remover?  I know there are kits that will draw the wax out.  My son is constantly opening his mouth as if to try and pop his ears, now its just habit for him to do it.  He also said sound is muffled in his left ear.  He has allergies and he takes a Singulair every night but this has been going on with him for a few weeks but he just admitted to me Sat. night that it is a problem.  Hope that helps.  And keep me posted if you go to the doctor.  Thanks
