Constant smell of bread in my nose.

January 6th I had surgery on my sinuses. My doctor made the opening to my maxillary sinuses to be about the size of a quarter. He also fixed my deviated septum and cleared out some polyps. After the surgery I had many complications and was unable to breathe out of my nose for quite some time. The doctor said it was due to my nasal passages being super sensitive (I couldn't even use a saline solution without them swelling up.) Also, my nose creates a mucus that is the consistancy of egg whites. Meanwhile, I have been able to breathe for about three weeks now, and off and on before that. However, when I am able to breathe I smell bread all the time. What could be causing this? I don't have any symptoms of a sinus infection.

Sorry I haven't been on here in a while. It turned out to be a bunch of debris and blood left over from surgery. I had to have it cleaned out.

Hi,
Really going out on a limb here, but that seems so strange.  Could it possibly be a yeast infection?  Wondering if the yeast would be because of the "yeasty" smell of bread.
