Constantly having to clear my thoat

I having to clear my thoat from after I`ve been awake for one or two hour until I go to bed. I`ve been  to a endocrinologist an he said that my thyroid was working fine. So I went to a gastroenterologist and he said that I have acid reflux so he put me on medication. Omeprazole 20 mg and Pantoprazole sod 40 mg, the medicine is not doing any good. I always thought that if a person had acid reflux they would have a burning in the thoat. I don`t have any burning. Is there a possibility that I have somthing else wrong or could I be taking the medicine wrong. This constantly having to clear my thoat is driving me crazy. I just keep thanking that there is somthing that is a cure for my problem. I`ve suffered with this condition for years and now I desperate to find out whats wrong.

1. It has been found that a good percentage of refluxers don't have symptoms like heartburn and burning throat.

2. If you are a smoker, stop smoking.

3. If you take alcohol, stop that too.

4. Any chance your dinner or some medication (that you may be taking) is the cause?
5. Are you on any other medication (other than Omeprazole/ Pantoprazole) Did the gastroenterologist add any prokinetics (Domperidone or Metoclopamide?)
6. You went to specialists, what did your GP say about your problem.
7. Is it likely you have a postnasal drip? If so, an ENT may be able to help.

8. Presumed you are  not a diabetic or hypertensive
