CSF leak into the nose usually occurs through a the cribriform plate, if there has been an injury to the same. This can occur with trauma or sometimes spontaneously. Most of CSF leaks close spontaneously within 7 to 10 days, if it does not then this needs to be corrected surgically, to prevent ascending meningitis, which is an infection to the layers surrounding the brain. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance.

As far as your outlook for recovery.....get this CT done first and get that figured out (prognosis) after you get the results.
