Diverticulm of the esphogus and use of Fosomax

I have a diverticulm of the esphogus. This is my 2nd one. Last year it was a Zenkers which was stapled. The knew one is a little lower. Are there risks if I take the drug Fosomax? I need it because I have pre osteoporsis.
