Dizziness

Dizziness

Why does a neck injury cause dizziness? I thought dizziness was related to the inner ears? The reason I ask is that I've been having dizziness when i move my head to the right side. Is this related to a neck injury or a virus in the inner ear. (I have had both recently) Can this be easily resolved? Its quite bothersome in that I have to try to keep my head motionless in order not to experience dizziness.

thank you

I've had dizziness for 3 yrs and doctors have told me that it stems from the neck.  In my condition, I firmly believe it is from the ear.  If it is a virus, what type of test did they do on you?  I've  been through so many tests and so many doctors, to date, I am still unsure of what is wrong.  I did have sinus surgery and had my submandibular  gland removed due to a stone.
