Dysphagia and Maxillary Cyst/Polyp

Dysphagia and Maxillary Cyst/Polyp

I experienced a sudden onset of dysphagia about 3.5 months ago. I was quickly refered to an ENT who scoped my sinus and found no blockage but sinus irritation and large amounts of mucus. I was treated with a nasal corticosteriod, antibiotics (3 weeks), and zantac. This resulted in no improvement. After being scoped again white patches were viewed in my throat and I was treated with antifungal nystatin and nasal spray, I saw no improvement. I was then sent for a CT of my sinus. In the mean time I requested nystatin from my doctor and within two days I was back eating. I even under went 3 weeks of fluconazole. I have still not fully recovered now and am still having some problems with dysphagia at this point even while taking nystatin. I recently found out that I have a large mucosal retention cyst/polyp in my right maxillary sinus. I am scheduled to see my ENT soon. I am concerned about the length of time I have had infection in my throat and sinus though. If anyone has an explaination how this is related and a course of action I would be interested in any advise. P.S. I have been tested for HIV and diabeties and I am in no other way immune compromised.
