Ear Infections after Tube Placement

My son just had tubes put into his ears on July 2, 2012.
He got an ear infection the end of July & was put on antibotics & ear drops.
He is getting another ear infection now. He is having draining that looks like green pus.

Is this normal to have 2 ear infections within almost 2 months of having tubes placed?

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Looks like the infection has become chronic and has not resolved. Have a culture and sensitivity test done to find out the correct antibiotic that the infecting organism is sensitive to and taking this medication for the required amount of days may help to clear the infection.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
