My boyfriend has been in pain for the last week complaining of throbbing ear pain, that shoots stabbing pain from his jaw where his chin is located, back up to his ear. He went to the doctor yesterday, he diagnosed the begining of a ear infection. Gave drops and antibiotics/steroid combo. Today he says that the drops aren't working and his ear feels like b4 the doctor. He also says coldness, ice sitting in his mouth helps the pain. He has had ear pain on and off ever since he was a child. Another doctor before this diagnosed him with TMJ, however we have not seen a dentist yet. Any help?
