Ear and headache symptoms

I have had a mild headache for 3-4 weeks combined with fullness in both ears but mostly in one ear, occasional vertigo and tinnitus.  I had this 5 months ago previously and the doctor said that it was a virus.  I don't believe that.  She prescribed a nasal spray steroid and antibiotics (zithromax) in case it was bacterial in origin.  It took 2 months to go away and now it is back.  14 years ago one ear was attacked by a herpes virus and left me slightly deaf in that ear with tinnitus.  The other ear had already lost some hearing from recurring ear infections when I was a child.  I plan on seeing an ENT soon.  Does anyone else out there have similar symptoms?  The headaches make me think of chronic sinus issues but maybe it is something else.

In looking at some of the questions here, it looks as if there are other people out there with similar symptoms.  I have been taking Zyrtec D which helps some but the headaches are still there.  Any ideas?
