My daughter was diagnosed with a mild-moderate tbi 4 years ago. Since that time she has tried to get answers with regard to the fluid coming from her ear (was red/brown/clear now is pink/clear) and also the crackling type noise she hears. We went to a neurotologist who dismissed a possible CSF leak because he said it would only be leaking from her nose. I now know that this is not true and that an ear leak is indeed possbile. My problem is to find a doctor, neurotologist or another, who will listen and perform the right tests for possible diagnosis. What kind of doctor? And what would be the correct tests to begin with? She has had brain MRI's but never a CT. Never an MRI / CT of her skull. Any guidance will be appreciated. Thank you.
