Ear pain/pressure new when swimming.

I just went swimming today for the first time in a while... a gentle swim, as I am out of shape... I did the front crawl and the very first time I turned my head to breathe, the water in my ear was painful...and it didn't matter which side, they were both painful.  I used a saline rinse after I got home (through the nostrils to clear out the sinuses), but when I blew my nose, a pop and loud squeak occurred in both ears... and now they are itchy and achey... I do suffer migraines, which sometimes cause ear pain... furthermore, I'm recovering from a cold that has been hanging on...but I am wondering when I should proceed with seeing an ENT specialist?
