Ear tubes in my daughter

Ear tubes in my daughter

I am looking for an alternative to Tubes for my daughter (8yrs). She does not have ear infections, but has substantial amount of fluid in ears. Drums are being stetched. We have put tubes in ears four times and each time they last 3 to 5 months.

Wondering if there is a way to make her muscles in her throat stronger to move the fluid out of her ears. What are some alternatives to tubes and what are the risks of not puting in tubes again. I do not like putting her under anesthesia.

My 11 year old daughter has had 4 ear tubes as well as her tonsils and adeniods removed.  Last spring she had her sinus scoped and found tissue regrowth.  We had her doctor laser them out.  Nine months later she continued to have fluid (not infected, yet) in her ears.  He is reluctant to put in more tubes because they do cause scaring.  He has had her one Prevacid (for reflux) for 3 weeks so far.  There seems to be an association with reflux and ear infections.  She had a CT scan today to see if there is an anatomical reason she is having these ear infections.  Before I opt for more surgery, I am going to seek other alternatives, such as chiropractor who specializes in cranial work, look into glutathione and perhaps have her see a alternative doctor.
