Elogated Uvula after Surgery

I had ear surgery two days ago on my right ear to repair my ear drum and mastoidectomy behind the ear. After waking up from the surgery, my uvula is at least twice as long as it should be. It was explained to me by the doctor that is was trumatized during intubation.
My question is how long will it take for my uvula to return to normal size.
