Erratic enlargement of lymph node

by Torres75, Sep 17, 2007 08:53AM
I recovered from tonsillitis a month ago. the lymph node on one side of the neck has since subsided, when it was once swollen and painful during the tonsillitis.

But right now everytime I'm having a meal, the lymph node 'responds' and enlarges and a lump can definitely be felt. Usually after the meal, it will subside to almost undetectable by touch. There is no pain when it is enlarged, which worries me. In fact the whole thing worries me and I'm wondering if I should continue monitoring for a few weeks or see a doctor now. I read that lymph nodes may take 4-6 weeks before they normalise from an infection like tonsillitis.

Any advise is appreciated, Thanks!!
