Excessive saliva and lip licking for MONTHS. Help!

For about 3 months now, it seems like my mouth is producing a ton of extra saliva, and it's somewhat thick and sticky. Since it feels like there's so much saliva, I've been swallowing alot more often and it's making me do this unexplainable tongue thrusting behavior so it always looks like I'm licking my lips. This in turn has resulted in 3 months of non-stop cracked and dry lips with a pink ring around them. I've also recently developed a constant stuffy nose, headache, and phlegm in the back of the throat that only seems to go away when I take hot showers and blow everything out (sometimes I can't even blow anything out)... only to stuff back up 15 minutes later.

I've seen my family physician who initially prescribed a medication for oral herpes to treat the irritation around my lips and had no success. I've also seen an allergist for skin testing and had no reaction to anything. My living environment, diet, and stress levels haven't really fluctuated in a long time, so I'm running out of options.

A few weeks back, however, I did notice that I had a wisdom tooth coming through the gum. It hasn't come all the way through yet, but you can see it poking out and the doctor said it 'looked' like it was coming in ok (I haven't felt any pain or anything) - could THIS have anything to do with this saliva thing?

I wake up in the morning with a numbness on my lips and a sticky film that wipes off - probably due to drooling in my sleep, as I can fill my mouth building with saliva when I lie down at night, and the constant sinus stuffyness means at night I almost always have to breathe through my mouth.

Any insight is greatly appreciated, this is starting to drive me CRAZY!
