Exposed Cartlidge in the nasal cavity

by edgemom, Sep 04, 2009 02:44PM
I had a papilloma removed 3 weeks ago from my nasal cavity.  I also had a skin graft in the nasal cavity where the papilloma was removed.  This week I did some swimming, also had a viral infection with some vomitting.  Today the skin graft came off.  There is now a area of exposed cartlidge.  i do not have any pain or bleeding.  My physician is out of the office until Tuesday due to the holiday weekend.  Is it OK to wait until next week to follow up with him? What risks are there with exposed cartlidge in the nasal cavity? any help would be great appreciated.
