Feeling of pressure below adam's apple

I have this feeling of pressure below my adam's apple - speaking is more difficult - it takes more effort and breath, and it is more difficult to swallow.

I went to get a short chair massage today - the kind where you are facing down through a cut out.  The massage therapist was putting so much pressure on my shoulders and working so hard that my throat banged against the chair several times.  

It doesn't hurt, I just have a feeling of pressure and constriction.  Will this go away?
