Frustrated - Have had ear infection for 2 years now

I have had a problem with my ears for 2 years now. It's been leaking fluid 24/7. It gets on my pillowcase at night and it's just annoying. There's always pressure in my jaw and I'm fed up. I don't have insurance so I went to a ENT today that a local free clinic referred me to. I only had to pay 25% of the bill but I felt I was treated like a 2nd class citizen.

He spent 5 seconds looking in both ears and then I waited another hour for him to come back in and tell me it was an ear infection. He prescribed me something for the bacteria. I already have had antibiotics prescribed in pill form and that didn't do anything. I actually had to tell him that you have to treat the bacteria AND the fungus. Am I right? He is now trying to "research" what to prescribe me to treat the fungus.

Shouldn't an ENT know what to prescribe to treat an ear infection?

The antibiotic is in drop form and is called Neomycin and Polymyxin B sulfates and hydrocortisone otic suspension, USP.

So, what has other people been prescribed for ear infection that leaks fluid? Maybe I can recommend something to the "doc".
