Fungal ear infection problems.

Hi, I'm Kasha, and I'm 16 years old. First time posting here. I've got a couple questions for you... but first, let me explain what's going on. When I first got my ear infection, I had no clue it was fungal. All I knew was that there was gross stuff draining from my ear that smelled pretty odd, and it really didn't hurt like it had last time (in approx. July, I had an ear infection [bacterial] that wound up getting so bad that my eardrum was perforated). So I went to my ENT specialist Dr. Becker here in Las Vegas, and he told me it was fungal. He flushed my ear and I could finally hear again, no more crap in my ear. He told me I need to flush it twice daily with a 50/50 water and vinegar mix, and afterwards, use anti-fungus toe drops in my ear.

So, for the questions: first of all, the anti-fungus drops sting like HECK and my ear is very sore afterwards. Is this normal or should I be using a different brand or what? Second, my ear is hurting more and more. Should I be taking anitbiotics? I really don't know what to do... When it first started, it never hurt. there was never any pain. Now, it doesn't hurt as bad as it did when I had a perforated eardrum, but I get little jolts of pain every so often that are kinda bad and make me jump a little bit, and it's constantly stopped up and uncomfortable. What can I do about it? Should I take pain meds? Is there anything I'm doing wrong? And should I be taking any antibiotics?

also, it's been about 5 days that this has been going on. ever since day 1 it's been getting increasingly more painful.
