Hard lump on neck

I have a hard lump 2cm on the right side of my neck that I can feel my pulse through what could this be?  I have had it for a few months now.

If its a pulsatile lump it could be a vascular tumor. Sometimes tumors of the thyroid could be pulsatile. It could also be lymph node resting on a vessel and you could be feeling the pulsations through it. Only a consultation with your primary care physician can help diagnose. If needed he may ask for an ultrasonogram of the throat.
