Have you been diagnosed with Pertussis (Whooping Cough)?

I have gone through MONTHS and MONTHS of feeling horrible.  My ENT Specialist and my MD have missed it - FINALLY, bizarre as it is - my Gynecologist (of 15 years) has diagnosed me with Pertussis (Whooping Cough).  

It was a long laborious process and I have been miserable.  I was explained that due to the influx of illegal aliens to our area who are not immunized, there is a rise in this disease.  My Gynecologist is even vaccinating pregnant mothers against the disease.

I am curious to see if anyone else has been diagnosed with this disease.
