Head Issues

My problem started two weeks ago this coming Saturday. I had been standing outside for 4 1/2 hours at work and the wind was whipping at about 35-40 miles an hour almost constantly. It was a mostly cloudy day. When it was time to go home, as I was leaving, I started getting this almost drunk feeling in my head. I have not touched a drop of alcohol since 2004. My equilibrium has been way off since that day. I thought that it may have been allergies, since tree pollen is way high here in North Texas. But, I'm concerned that it might be something else. When I walk, it's really like the feeling of being drunk. When I drive, I almost have to drive purely on instinct, and it scares the heck out of me sometimes.  It really scares me when I have to drive my 8 year old son to school and my wife to work. When I sit at home, it's there, but not as bad.

There is no spinning feeling at all. It's more like a shaking feeling in my head.

Jerry, it will be 2 Weeks since it started this Saturday. Someone I talked to mentioned it possibly being an ear infection. I am completely deaf in my left ear and have been since the age of 3. But I can hear normally out of my right ear just as well as I did before this happened. As far as seeing a doctor, I have no insurance until my wife adds me to hers when open enrollment happens later this year. I feel fine otherwise, it's just this annoying drunk-like feeling that's causing concern. I tend to associate ear pain to ear infections, since I had a year's worth of ear infections between the ages of two and three, and those were very painful. I just wish I could better explain this.

What is your heart rate and blood pressure?  Can you hear normally, as before the problem symptoms developed?

If you have an infection in one or both ears I think it could cause some of the symptoms you listed.

If this goes on more than a day or two you need to see your/a doctor.

I forgot to add as well, that when I have laid down, I have gotten the feeling that the room is spinning and have broken out in sweats.

Also, to add to my post, I'm 43, a half a pack to a full pack a day smoker, am about 5'6" tall and about 190lbs. I also am not a healthy eater by any means. I only eat at most twice a day. However, I am active at work and when I'm on the go, but at home I'm pretty much stationary, in front of the video game system or TV. I have never felt like this before. Sure, I've had dizzy spells, or headaches, or even had head colds before, but this really worries me.
