Hearing impaired, sugeries

Hi i am in my early 20's. I am hearing impaired. And i have a question about toobs that go into your ear. When i was younger i had temp. toobs. Now i find out that they have perminant ones! Is this true? And how effective are they? Is it worth trying? I dont want to have a machine put into my head or wires hanging out of my head! Thats not for me. But the toob thing i can imagine in the long run would be cheaper than buying hearing aides every 3 to 6 years. Thats not cheap. especially at $2000 a pop for both.  any one please give advise. You really need to educate yourself regarding your impairment. By toobs, I think you mean PET, pressure equalization tubes, and they are in no form or fasion hearing aids. But they do help to aleviate hearing loss in some situations but not all.

Permanent Toobs...  that would be Permanent PET, and yes there are some designed to stay in longer, than normal and just may stay in permanently....   again, they are in no form or fasion hearing aids.

Machine put in head:  I think you mean cochlear implant, and it is not for everyone, and is only used for certain types of losses & degrees of hearing loss.  

Wires haninging out of your head:  Again I think you mean a cochlear implant, and there are no wires that protrude through the scalp.  You really need to investigate further regarding your options.

Hearing aids 200K each and every 3 - 6 years.

Depending on what level of technology you purchase, sets the price, and HA do last longer than 6 years, again depending on what type of hearing aid you purchase.
