How do I treat swimmer's ear?

How do I drain liquid out of my ear canal?

I occassionally have itchy ears and I've noticed the hydrogen peroxide helps. I had an itchy left ear yesterday so I poured some hydrogen peroxide into it, something I've done many times before without any problems. This time I felt it flow deep into my ear and when I tilted my head to the left only a little came back out. Alot of it stayed in my ear canal. Now I feel ringing, throbbing and heaviness in my left ear, the same exact syptoms (symptoms) as swimmers ear. It's very uncomfortable and I'm afraid my ear is going to become infected.

How do I drain the liquid out. HELP!

Lay on a bed with the problem ear facing up.  Blow up some balloons that you can get from the toy section of any drugstore.  This will cause just enough pressure to open your Eustachian to drain, but not enough to "blow a gasket".  Take some Mucinex to keep it from getting clogged.  That's all I got.
