How much medicine is too much?

I have either a severe sinus infection or mono(will know tomorrow), but the doctor prescribed me BP Poly 650 every 4 to 6 hours, corzall liquid every 4 to 6 hours, lidocaine every 3 hours, and promethazine 25mg at bed time, I broke out in a rash from my prior antibiotic and have to take 2 benadryl until it's gone, and I've been taking ibuprofen to relieve the swelling and help my fever. Tonight I took all doses because they all were supposed to be taken at that time, and I'm feeling a little funny. Just wondering if anyone can tell me if that is too much to take or not? The doctor knew what I was on so I thought it was ok. Kinda freaking me out.

If you ever have doubts about what to take together or what you cannot take together, please ask your pharmacist and/or read the medical leaflets that come with the medication.  For some reason, alot of physicians are not very good about these situations.  I see this fairly often unfortunately; I work in the medical field.

Yes, the Phenergan is for nausea/vomiting.  Sometimes physicians will order it in combination with a histamine.  Were you having nausea/vomiting?  The BP Poly should take care of the rest of the rash.  The lidocaine is ok.  I would dump the Ibuprofen, Benadryl and use the Phenergan if you are having problems with nausea/vomiting, if not, don't.  He authorized all that medication and he doesn't know what is going on with you yet?  Wow.

I have no idea why I was prescribed the promethazine/phenergan, I thought that was used for nausea. I still have fragments of the allergic rash left, will the BP Poly make that go away?

Oh no, you are taking all that?  Yes, it is too much.

The BP Poly has an anti-histamine and tylenol in it, so you don't need the benadryl and ibuprofen.  Why the Phenergan/Promethazine?

And you physician knew all this?  That is scary that he said it was ok.
