I have ringing in my ear and muffled sound from s concert HELP?

I went to a very loud concert last night about 5 hours long and right after I left I had muffled sound and ringing now it's the next day and it won't go away. Will it ever? I'm scared I know I should have wore ear plugs but it was my first indoor concert so I know now. How Long will this last and will it go away? Please help.

Chalk this one up as a lesson learned. Most likely the ringing and muffled feeling should subside over the next several days. There is almost certainly some permanent damage done to your inner ear, but odds are that you won't notice this after the acute phase of the insult wares off. However, keep it up and the hearing loss will become noticeable, not go away and the ringing could stay around as well. Some people's ears are more susceptible to damage than others and tolerate things like 5 hour-long concerts differently. Time will tell.
