Is my Left Ear going to be okay. Please help !! =~(

okay, I shall explain everything in full detail so you guys would knw exactly what's going on with my left ear.

7 months ago when I played the radio, I noticed that I could hear someone echoing the music which was being played in my left ear. It all started when I slept on a pillow with perforated pillow case and when I woke up next day to listen to the radio this happened. Not sure if this might be one of the causes.

It got so bad that my left ear felt extremely blocked n I felt dizzy and sick. When I was having lunch with my colleagues in crowded places, I couldn't make out what they were saying because the sound of the echo was overwhelming and their voices sounded muffled.

But gradually it felt a little better although still have a little echoing, pressure in the ear felt better n muffling remained the same.

I went to see an ENT specialist, did hearing test, scope through the nose and all. Hearing test showed that my left hear has a little prob hearing, but ear had no wax and eardrum was vibrating normally. I asked if there could b a prob with the nerves bt doctor said nope. Doctor concluded that I might have sinus probs and its affecting my hearing. I was prescibed a Nasal Spray and was told to hold my nose and blow to unblock the ear. I've been using the spray and blowing my nose but no changes. I also noticed that when I blow my nose more air was blown into my left ear than my right ear.

Now, it seems to have gotten worst again. I can hardly make out what people are saying in noisy places. when I on radio, I can hear the echo again and it sounds windy too. I'm having dizzy spells again. I'm having a pretty hard time going about my daily routines.

I hope someone might be able to tell me what's wrong with my left ear and help me find a solution to this prob.. I hope this is curable because I'm really afraid this might b permanent. I'm desperate for an answer and ways to cure it. Please help me... please please help.....

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, the cause could be an inner ear problem with your symptoms of tinnitus, dizziness and deafness. It could be due to Meniere’s disease, which is a condition in which there is an excess of fluid in the inner ear. The excess fluid disturbs the ear’s balance and hearing mechanisms and causes tinnitus, dizziness and deafness. Medications such as Valium and Compazine are prescribed to decrease the severity of the symptoms. If max medical therapy fails then surgical therapy like labyrinthectomy, vestibular nerve section and endolymphatic sac procedures are done. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. Regards.

Just to add, I seldom use headphones. I was not exposed to loud sounds, this just happened randomly and I'm not sure why. I have been carrying my bag on my left side though, could it be that the load of the bag pulled down some inner ear thing over time that's why I'm having prob hearing with this ear now?
