Is there a connection?

by Jimbo1956, Oct 30, 2009 05:45AM
I'm having some difficulty moving my head due to the stiffness in my neck.  I have a dull ache in my left ear, the ear in which I had severe ear aches as a child and which a doctor once told me showed signs of having suffered repeated infections.

Could the neck stiffness be connected to my weakened ear conditioned.  I do hear less well in my left ear than I do in my right.

Thanks, Jimbo

Severe ear infections can spread outside the ear to involve inflammation of a big neck muscle, the Sternocleidomastoid muscle, but in that case I would think there would be no doubt that you also were experiencing a severe ear infection!
