I woke up one morning with a sore, swollen nose! I went to the doctor and she thought it was shingles. She sent me to an opthamologist who said he did not think it was shingles but a sinus infection! He prescribed a z-pack and within 24 hours, the swelling started going down, I had some sinus drainage and my low grade fever was gone. After 48 hours I looked and felt almost normal. It was the weirdest thing though. I went to bed feeling normal and woke up the next morning feeling like someone hit me across the bridge of my nose with a baseball bat. Anyway, if a red, swollen, sore nose is your symptom, a z-pack cleared me up!
