Lidocaine Gel (4%) as a treatment for sinus/migraine pressure???
About 12 years ago I developed this condition where it feels like my left maxilliary sinus cavity is congested/swollen. There's no mucous. I usually get vertigo/dizziness. Can't concentrate on the simplest of things. The inflammation travels up into my left temple...then eventually becomes a 'bar' of pain on the left side of my head above the ear. This can last for an hour...up to 2 days (pain is constant). Being treated now by a neurologist. He says the condition is a migraine. It feels like my left ear has to 'pop'. Run the gamut of various meds...nothing really works. Sometimes I insert lidocaine (gel form 4%) into my left nostril (deep inside) with a q-tip. This helps a little. Any info will help. Thanx.
